big fan of Marks tunes and I can play a few on the guitar, I'm not good at learning by ear so if anyone has any tabs or chords to share please do !, In particular at the mo I really want to plan "midnight song" and if Marky would like to tell me how its fingerpicked on the ablum ..well that would be just super !
    cheers

    hey ivi

I think I can help you out with Gingerman. (correct me if I'm wrong anyone...)
    capo on 3rd fret
    roughly speaking it goes....

Am (moving your index off the b string first fret and putting your little finger on the b string on the 3rd, and then index finger back onto b string first frist ) then F..

Am F..Am F then G (your only learning...) and back to Am.

Yeah man ill put up as many as i know, I know a good few of them.
If i run into trouble i just watch at gigs or even ask him, he's very helpful with them( When he can remember them himself Haha ; )
I remember the gig in Dingle where he had to ask me the chords of "By the Time" haha unreal!!

    Emm

[Whisper] ( Capo 5 or 6 ) I play it on the Fifth

"You Should rest some, Before you drive"
    g, em

(Theres little hammers on the b, You play the G in the C Shape, and hammer on with your index and little fingers)

"Were Miles from Hoping... Here i Stand"
    C, d(in the c shape, just slide the c up 2 frets)

Hope that makes a bit of sense man.

Ill put up some more, i always find it hard to think of em when im not with my Guitar.

    Tuesday

starts with Ami - hit it three times, then move your ring finger off the g string - hit once, back to Ami - hit once and move your middle finger off the d string - hit several times....that's the main line, listen to the song and you'll catch it:-)

change to F (tuesdayyy...) G and back to Ami

    morning folks..
    thought i'd jump in here.

so tuesday as above.. reg. tuning . except the high E string is tuned down to D..
7th fret. just use the top two bass strings for the riff.
then for the chorus and the other bit. C and D. okay.

    it beats me..
sometimes on the 3rd fret.. other times on the 6th.
    but the chords are

    verses C and F

    then there 's
"we been through the hoops before ... bit
which is B flat F and back to C...

    "there's someone calling for me'

    C, F
    just seeing you talk
    is C,Em ,F

    then there's the
    "hail mary"

    c, em, F . g..

    okay then...

    Suzanne..
    is
A and kinda a hammer on the bass E string. playing F sharp..
and that's the riff for the verses

    then
    E, Fsharp minor , D
    E, Fsharp minor, d

    etc..

    gingerman

    on the 3rd fret.. capo

    it's
Am, f, and then G for the refrain etc.. easy pee-sy!!!

    love ya
    marky

    2 things all,
Ciaran the chords for Tuesday on the bit.."Why won't you wear your..." the Em you use Ciaran just doesn't seem to fit for me, or am I going mad ?

and on Cold little fire, I can't make out the lyrics on the bridge bit.. sounds like, "all of eden's tales are tired.. " the lyrics on the sleeve notes I think are secured up as they dont follow for that song at all, the bridge is completely missing !

    eoinmcd..
    dude what the matter??

okay .. for tuesday --the trick or problem is .. that the guitar riff.. is the one that's heard.. which of course is not em.. listen to that first --!! underneath is IS. em.so that should clear that up.. really there's two separate guitar parts all the way through.. one is with the capo.. and one without.. regular tuning on oth.. have a listen and you'll hear what i'm saying okay??

    cold little fire..
    bridge..
' all of eden's hands are tied.
drop me in the water , they gonna eat you alive.
oh please i can't start again. drop me in the water. hit the bottle again.."

    chords
    are Em,Bm, C ,Fm

    okay then.. all love

    hey marky
    cheers for the reply,

yeah on the cover notes of the cd that i bought (got the album first via itunes) then went and bought the cd for the additional tracks and lyrics but the lyrics printed on the sleeve notes are not right , the bridge is missing completely on cold little fire

    later man
ps. throw a few more clips of the acoustic versions up on youtube whenever you get the opportunity, really enjoyed the 3 up there from the album from galway

    hey folks,

Always - regular tuning, Capo 3

Main line goes like this - C (listen to the song for the fingerpicking) then change on 2nd string to 2nd fret and finger off the 3rd string (this should be C/H) then Ami then the same way up - C/H and C, that's all

    April showers...

change on "So it's over"...G Ami (twice, then back to the main line)

    and so on...

    chorus is G Ami (twice) then G F G

    Always...

    okay?:-) P.

hey there jenya-- just getting this now--
    adam and eve..
    reg. tuning .. okay??
use a capo on the 5th fret.. or actually I've been using it on the 4th these last few gigs.
    either way..
    start in C- and move down. B - F
you just need to move your middle finger from the C position move your middle finger back from the C -to the B and then play F.. you'll have the speed in which to do it.. okay?? C,B,F.. that's the intro and the verse..
the pay off's on tuesday .....

when it gets to --"there's penny's from heaven..- it's an Am chord.. okay..

    then
chorus - god doesn't know me
    same - C,F,B
    "or answer my call
    C,F<B

she don't know me from adam (Am here)
or eve at all- G chord..
just listen and you'll hear the changes.. also last thing.. there 's kind of a pause on the intro's the each verse-- where you simply play the bar chord of the F - and hammer the bass E string - ba ba -- ha ha -- i sound nuts but listen to it and you'll hear it..
    okay..
    all love ad coffee

    hello all--
just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted chords, etc on this board...played a gig at a fundraiser recently, was told it was an hour...then told last minute it was 3 hours...needless to say, i needed to quickly learn as many mark geary songs as i could to fill out the set--and this board was an incredible resource. i think i sold more of mark's cd's than my own that day by people asking me "who wrote that song?"

thanks again for all of your help.
